You can get practically everywhere with J-2, but you will have to take detours.Omer Golan-Joelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09242085820257230639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1014248690808215206.post-36147421620723554162018-03-13T16:04:51.371-07:002018-03-13T16:04:51.371-07:00Actually, having been following Andy Slack's v...Actually, having been following Andy Slack's various DN campaigns, I was going to compliment Omar on his tweaks to make the map work with Jump 2. As Bill Cameron observes, the original map was based on other ideas.
One of the things which has struck me messing about with proto-Traveller is how long it does take to get round even a subsector at the speed of player ships.Anzonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10379198133368255423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1014248690808215206.post-81698041907353762282018-03-12T00:51:40.838-07:002018-03-12T00:51:40.838-07:00What an intriguing pitch for a setting! Mr. Slack's use of DN is fascinating because he's using it has background for 3 separate solo RPG campaigns.

As for needing Jump3, that lack "sort of", "kind of", "maybe" explains DN's use of jump links. Of course the real reason for those lines is that DN was based on Imperium and Imperium's design predates Traveller itself.Bill Cameronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02987843264254276569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1014248690808215206.post-31657018967587249602018-03-11T20:34:23.752-07:002018-03-11T20:34:23.752-07:00Pretty much need Jump 3 to get around the map in a...Pretty much need Jump 3 to get around the map in a useful way, no?davebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07531919635590898334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1014248690808215206.post-30732016698205092202018-03-11T15:19:14.395-07:002018-03-11T15:19:14.395-07:00I look forward to reading moreI look forward to reading mores7610rahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02658417201343534248noreply@blogger.com
